UEFA Champions League/Europa League 27/28/29 September *** Spoilers ***

I wonder where people will be on the Wenger should be fired band wagon if we lose tomorrow night and the derby on Sunday.

I think if we were away we'd have no chance, home, probably, afaik 2 years ago when they were last in the champs league they were fairly rubbish away from home, we beat them 2-0 home, lost 1-0 away, we are WAY worse than then but Greek teams really don't seem to travel well at all. In terms of Spurs on Sunday, I think Ade is practicing his celebration dancing and will probably get the chance to show us :(

Inter already 1-0 up.

I am thinking actually, take Nasri out and put in Tevez as his running and power all over the pitch could be great for us. Will play a "Rooney" role where he drops back into midfield and wins the ball to go forth with Silva and Aguero etc.

Win-Lose-Draw it will be a great game and just to be in the CL is good enough for me :D

Why not, you'd still be watching consecutive matches if they were on at different times.

I suppose not, but I will be made aware of the score by this thread during the match so it will lose some of its appeal and I'm not honestly that bothered about watching City park the bus against Bayern. :p

Basel not Basle.

Geeh, thanks. Like I couldn't of easily of made a mistake when typing that one out.

What United fan would choose to watch City instead, regardless of who they were playing. :p

I don't share the same grudge against Man city as someon who lives in the area would. I actually think it'll be the better game.

Saying that, I'll watch the majority of the Man U game. Flicking between the two.

I wonder If Berbatoss will manage to work himself up enough to actually bother playing tonight.
Terrible against leeds, shamefull against Stoke, just plain old embarassing against Basel?

Come on Berba, a world class player like you should tear this lot up with effortless ease!

;)

Hart,Richards, Kompany, Kolo, Clichy, Barry, Yaya, Nasri, Silva, Aguero and Dzeko

Massive call to bring in Kolo. Considering Lescott has been our best CB this season. Kolo has a lot of experience and pace to deal with Gomez which Lescott doesn't have.

He is on the bench - so that sorts that out (according to the BBC)

4-5 1 according to the BBC (unless Giggs is playing behind Welbeck of course)

Not sure who the FB's are (Fabio and Evra?), looks like Carrick, Young, Valencia and Anderson (and Giggs depending on positioning) with Jones and Rio in central defence

I would have thought Park and Giggs will play

Not sure why Park isnt playing to be fair (I guess he's on the bench though........)

Man Utd v Basle line-ups
Man Utd: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Jones, Ferdinand, Evra, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Welbeck, Young. Subs: Lindegaard, Owen, Berbatov, Park, Nani, Fletcher, Diouf.
Basel: Sommer, Steinhofer, Abraham, Dragovic, Park, Fabian Frei, Cabral, Zoua, Granit Xhaka, Alexander Frei, Streller. Subs: Colomba, Ajeti, Schurpf, Chipperfield, Taulant Xhaka, Kovac, Pak.
Referee: Paolo Tagliavento (Italy
