What exactly do you think happens if you put the ball in a hole and kick it, it will hit a higher edge in front of it and deflect upwards. Seriously no striker on earth would want to take a penalty with the ball sitting in a divot, and it's ridiculous to expect any striker to do so.

Good, the only reason I even slightly want them near the final is because they are an english team. Boring to watch and Mourinho would just make the final super boring.

No, footballers complain about absolutely anything these days. It doesn't matter what on earth it is. I'd love to stick a few in a Sunday league game; they'd have a fit and cry about everything.

I'm not sure if it's because I've been watching rugby recently, but everything footballers seem to do is just pathetic. The diving, the moaning, theatrics, etc. I bet women's football is better.
 
Problem with playing so defensively and not getting an away goal, is when you want the team to push forwards they aren't as good as they would be if they played offensively the whole time. Likewise Atletico have the confidence and momentum and at this stage Chelsea pushing numbers forwards favours Atletico again.

Still very possible but it's a big ask and the players would be much happier attacking, particularly at home and taking the initiative rather than reacting to the away team like this.

Hopefully Atletico don't just sit deep themselves as they've been the better team and changing how they play is so frequently asking for trouble.
