UEFA Champions League/Europa League 3/4/5 May *** Spoilers ***

I thought the Atletico pen was actually inside the box. I'm pretty sure the ref gave the pen for the second part of the foul where he catches Torres' right foot and by that point it looked to me like Torres was either on the line or inside the box. I'd like to see a replay but that's what it looked like.

"second part of the foul"

The foul started outside the box and therefore should have been given as such.

If you pull a player back outside the box and continue to pull them back as you enter the box, it's a penalty.

I'm not sure if that also applies to being tripped but there was definitely a 2nd motion by the Bayern player and he tripped him again as they entered the box.

No, if a foul continues into the box the ref can give the pen. For example, if a player was shirt pulling outside the box and continued to do so as he and the opposition player entered the box, the ref could award the pen rather than a free kick.

Also, if you look carefully at the replay it doesn't look like Martinez actually touches Torres' left foot, but quite clearly heavily catches the right foot, which looked like it was inside the box/on the line.

3rd semi-final loss in a row for Pep with arguably the best squad in Europe.
Coupled with the fact he inherited a treble winning side. Winning the German league is the same as winning the SPL. Even Moyes would win the league with Bayern. Can't wait to see how he handles the pressure at Man City. Might end up doing a jose!

It's going to be Pep's first real challenge that's for sure.

Good to see Atletico back in the final. Now with Ronaldo fit again time for Real to join them.

Athletico Madrid are the only team in europe who can come away with a "win" with just 27% possession and their opposition having had 33 shots during the game!

Aguero is more than capable at getting at Ramos and Pepe, the question is can City keep them out at the back? I'd personally prefer to see De Druyne in the middle.

Am i imagining things or are some matches quieter than others on BTSport? On Virgin. I've had to turn the amp up higher than usual tonight and it's not the first time.
