UEFA Champions League/Europa League 4/5/6 December *** Spoilers ***

Celtic Park is a special place for European games, enjoy mate :)

First time at Celtic Park, and it was a really good event. I'm an Aberdeen fan, so I didn't know any of the songs but I was more than happy to cheer Celtic on. People are me were good banter, and I got involved in the huddle.

On 3 occasions the ground erupted because some people thought Barca had scored, and it spread like wildfire. Quite crazy just to see everyone hugging people beside each other and screaming whilst Celtic gave up the ball yet again. :p

I'd go back, but I wouldn't pay the £40 the ticket cost my friend.

He gets a silly amount of stick from our fans but yet again Carra put in an excellent performance.

He got caught out of position a few times and of course getting all confused and going walkabout and letting di Natale have a free shot right at the end is an excellent perforamce?

You're clutching at straws, trying to find a reason to criticise him if you're blaming him in anyway for the chance at the end. The midfield left him and Skrtel 2v2 and his first move (correctly) was to look to close the first Udinese attacker down (if he didn't and he turned and smashed it into the top corner, you'd criticise him for not closing down). It was only because the weight of the pass was near perfect that he couldn't get back to Di Natale.

In the first half when Udinese had some half decent opportunities, nearly every attack ended with Carra (and Skrtel) making a last ditch/covering tackle. The side defended on the whole very well and Carra (alongside Skrtel) was pivotal to that.

Agree with Baz was a very solid performance for Carra and unfortunately he just isn't quick enough to close dI Natalie down at the end but not many cbs are

Nice to see him being used like this works well, thought he'd been even worse playing less often.

I guess he has thrown in so many below average performances in the past 3 years that anything average is hailed as excellent.

He has thrown in some shocking performances, but yesterday he did well and I'm fairly certain a lot agree he cut out a large number of attacks of Udinese, I never want to see him playing week in week out, but if he can pull a decent performance here and there definitely useful to the squad.

I'd also play him if we played Barca since we'd be in our own box a lot of the time :p

Europa League Final 2013 ticket lottery is now open:

Any idea if there is any club allocation?

Nordsbordlord were awful so we can't really take any positives from the game except for the intensity & tempo with which we played, that's been missing recently and Rafa believes that's down to the fitness of the players so it'll be interesting to see if we can keep that up tomorrow. Hazard in particular looked refreshed and far more threatening than he has done since the first 4 games or so.
The ref was a definite homer too, he was the ying to Clattenburg's yang.
Blowing a 2 goal lead at home v Juve and losing away to Shakhtar are where we screwed up in this campaign and that was basically down to the defense which Rafa targeted and has hopefully improved.
Ah well, at least they'll be something worthwhile watching on Thursdays for a few weeks.
