Well Ronaldo has done two 50 odd seasons in a row and Suarez seems to have a decent engine on him.

I'd expect any football who doesn't suffer from injuries regularly could do a 40+ season without tiring, most do it I'd imagine.

Yeah it's only mental fatique that sets in. Physically, they are sound unless like you say they have **** injury genetics. Dyer anyone? Good player - plagued with injury.

Gerrad has lost what made him great due to age and injuries. All those years carrying the team have caught up with him, its pretty sad imo.

Would still be great if he got to play behind a striker, unfortunately I can't even recall the last time he played that role two games in a row.

Well we are through

Didn't even realise it was an early kick off, just turned on now expecting to watch the game

Fairly good performance from us. I wish we could take some of our chances and win games a bit more comfortably though.

He gets a silly amount of stick from our fans but yet again Carra put in an excellent performance. The games he's played this season have been his best performances in the last 18-24 months.

edit: I've just seen some of the teams we could face in the next round; Inter, Atletico Madrid, Stuttgart, Napoli, Zenit and Ajax. Had we finished second in our group, the only stand out sides we could have faced would have been Lyon and Benfica (Rubin Kazan wouldn't be easy I suppose).
