UEFA Champions League/Europa League 4/5/6 December *** Spoilers ***

Well that's me well and truely hacked off. We're on a bad run, getting an away win in the champs league would give us some much needed confidence and a morale boost against what is one of the easier champions league teams. On top of that we could have got first place in the group and avoided a guaranteed first knockout round defeat. Regardless of what ******** he comes out with this was an important game.

He shouldn't have played a weakened team (i'm not having it that we're fatigued, it's only just bloody turned December). He did so he shouldn't have had a bench of nobodies. On top of that he doesn't take off the dross that doesn't perform, specificaly Ramsey but pretty much anyone else on the team other than Rosicky. Then to change it up once we go behind we swap a left back for a left back. Pointless.

These aren't issues caused by maybe not having any funds, these are basic managerial **** ups. He's shown a complete disregard for progressing further in the champs league and also to the fans for his response to the don't know what you're doing chants last week. I'm fed up of watching the same mistakes week in week out.

Rant over.....

Wish the media would stop using the Uefa coefficient as a reason why City are getting hard groups, as far as I'm concerned City should be in the 4th tier of teams not the bloody 2nd

Had it not been for 2 very dodgy penalties City would have finished this group with 1 point....as if finishing with only 3 points wasn't bad enough :D

How long will the board continue to back Mancini? Not even qualifying for Europa has to hurt a team like them?

The UEFA Coefficient system is nonsense anyway.
Chelsea are a pot one team and they got Shaktar and Juventus in their group. It doesn't matter what pot you are in you can get a very difficult group.

I have given up offering excuses now we really need to get our **** together. I have been blinded by our unbeaten run and team loyalty I guess which has led me to arguing with some of you on here. We are only 3 points behind in the Prem but we have been poor in many games.

The CL has just magnified it and shown us up because most of the teams in the Prem can't, I do however maintain that some luck and we could have got a result but I am not going to argue about it.
We shouldn't be relying on anything other than ourselves performing how the players should do given their reputations and abilities on paper.

(Waits for the abuse)

Maun- Does giving him a 5 year contract could as backing? :p

...Conversley, over here, the South American Flair is coached out of them at the expense of percentages football in England....

Maybe 20 years ago. With the amount of continental managers, coaches, ideas, philosophies etc in the Premier League now that's a stupidly simple theory. 10 years ago you could probably count the amount of successful South American (and other Latin countries) imports on one hand where as over the last 5-6 years, several of the Leagues best players have been South American, Spanish, Portuguese etc.

Aguero's not been as good as he was last season but he's hardly been poor. City as a whole haven't clicked going forward this season which I suspect is more of a factor in Aguero's performances rather than his flare being coached out of him.

Final is at Wembley, I wonder if any of the British sides will feature in that final.

From what I've seen of 5 CL match days, they'll be lucky to get into the quarter/semi finals. PL teams shown up for what they are on the international stage, AVERAGE teams.

So amongst the cream of Europe...they're shown up to be average? Sure.

We may not be top dogs any more but saying we're average is a bit of a jump too.

At least u are honest, it's a pretty fair assessment, they can get away with in the prem, but they are exposed in Europe badly, Mancini has to go imo useless manager.

Don't fall for the sky nonsense, the PL is a **** league. Hell Liverpool despite having our lowest ever league points tally after 15 games (or something like that) are only 7 points off 3rd..7 points!! Spain, Germany & Italy all are stronger. The epl is just marketed far stronger than the other leagues so rakes in the tv deals.

I dont think Manchini will be around for after this season though, baffling summer signings.

Oh dear Wenger blaming the match refs

No point blaming the refs, ok fair enough Chesney didn't get a touch on the ball but was ruled that he did but still we gave up 2 very soft goals, which is beyond stupid...every yr we give up stupidly soft goals and Wenger can't see this???

For once Wenger blame yourself for the ****ing mess we are in, don't pass the blame to others. Our squad is not full of quality, it's full of dross at the moment and from where I'm sat...he can't motivate them :/.

Don't want to take it off topic but the summer signings are not down to him which was made pretty clear by Mancini.

We didn't get any of our top targets and we got rid of players so they had to be replaced by the likes of Sinclair and Rodwell.

The hope is that with our new DoF we can get the signings done earlier and the best players out there. But at the end of the day we cant use this excuse when you see the likes of Ajax and Dortmund who have assembled teams that play fantastic football that has made us look like amateurs at times without spending millions and buying players all the time.

City needed to bring in some truly class players like Messi/Ronaldo/Van Persie. The powder puffs like Nasri and Silva often don't show up, especially in the big games. Milner and Barry are overrated as well just because they're English.

It made me cringe last season when people like Mike Summerbee were bleating on about how great Silva was. It was Toure in the City midfield last season that kept digging them out of the messes they were in because he's strong and direct, it seems like he's tired of being the carrier bag though.

No idea why they signed Rodwell, Garcia and Sinclair. They all seem like a step backwards, or a sidestep at best. Adam Johnson is better than Sinclair for a start (or at least he was before sitting on the City bench every week ruined his confidence).

Unlike Aguero, Tevez, Silva, Kompany, Hart ???

The problem with City is the muppet manager, they won the EPL on goal difference.

That team should win the EPL comfortably and be getting to the last 4 of the CL, not crash out 2 years running.
