What has where Zhirkov was looking got to do with how dangerous and reckless a tackle it is?Zhirkov was looking at the ball, at most it was a yellow.

to be fair to Torres he didnt look for the pen imo

Surely a dangerous challenge though? Would have said it was as dangerous as all these two footed lunges we see.
I'm sure a lot of two-legged challenges were 'trying to play the ball' too; bottom line is reckless and dangerous tackles can get a red regardless of 'intention'.Going a bit far there! He only had his eye on the ball. He didn't mean to kick an opponent in the face, he was only trying to play the ball and made a mistake, getting a (deserved) yellow card in the process.
Erm, because he realised he failed horribly, had the United defence ****ing him out of it for being a diving ****, and stood to get a yellow if he remained on the ground and actually looked for it as opposed to just trying to brush it off as a 'stumble'?to be fair to Torres he didnt look for the pen imo
Well other than diving for it of course, once he realised that he had no chance he didn't claim for it...but he did dive for it.
So if Vidic studs Torres' neck in a crowded penalty area without looking at him, he shouldn't get a card since he showed a lack of 'intent'?Intent to injure an opponent, obviously.
he went down easily yes but wasnt a dive imo
I suppose you often spontaneously fall to the floor while running in a straight line then.he went down easily yes but wasnt a dive imo
So if Zhirkov is looking elsewhere and catches Hernandez in the eye....it's still not a red
It was very dangerous, whether he was looking or not.

If he catches him in the eye, he would be red-carded, I'm sure. The fact is, he didn't.

So only once you see a shattered eye-socket or gouged eye he should get a red... you should take your ideas to FIFA.If he catches him in the eye, he would be red-carded, I'm sure. The fact is, he didn't.
What
There was no contact and he threw himself in the air! Perhaps he saw a mouse?
