Having not been to the Nou Camp, I can't say what the sound of ~90000 people chanting is like over a whistle, combined with the pressure of being alone on goal. I was merely pointing out that it's not like Van Persie saw the Barce players stopping, which was what you commented on.

But I'd be willing to bet he heard it, everyone else did and maybe when he saw the defender stopping or the goalie, he might have realised. No excuses, and should be off already tbh.(if that one second statistic is right maybe, but at live speed looked like he lashed at it and knew what he was doing.)
