UEFA Champions League/Europa League ** Spoilers ** [1/2/3 October 2019]

Arsenal must be kicking themselves letting go of Gnabry.

Yes and no.

He was highly rated and in the first team squad and starting games at 17/18, but had a major injury and struggled to regain fitness. In a squad that at the time had many such injury-prone players. Where we erred is that we sent him to West Brom to regain his sharpness - we are often poor at choosing solid loan destinations - and he barely started. I can't recall the exact reasons for his departure, but I think by that point he wanted out.

Injury aside, it could have been very different for him at Arsenal.

Bayern were very good but Spurs just gave up, pathetic from them. Think Poch will be gone before too long at this rate.

That was some of the best finishing I've ever seen in my life in one game lol

Just to highlight how clinical Bayern were tonight, their expected goals was just 1.27 to Spurs' 1.69

Knew it was good but really this much? wow lol

And to add, it was Gnabry that forced a move. He wanted out after a strong U21 campaign, had just one year left on his contract and indicated there was no way he was signing. Its a "what could have been" moment, but good to see the kid doing well.

I've seen the goals now, all ridiculous finishes but the majority all avoidable if Spurs didn't give the ball away so easily/play such a high line, Vertonghen and Alderwield aren't exactly quick anymore.
