Just because they are (Bulgarian) Champions has no reflection on how good the side / league quality is

well I dont see anything wrong with Carrick and Schneidy alternating , partnering Herrera

This is the first competitive game for Darmian isnt it, so it may not be that cut and dried for Schneidy...
