UEFA Champions League/Europa League ** Spoilers ** [30 September - 01/02 October 2014]

Quite pleased with the City - Roma draw. The penalty was a bit meh imo. He did touch him, but it wasn't clear cut imo.

Can't fault the guys though. They gave nearly 0 clear cut chances to City. Yanga-Mbiwa was a bit off, as always, but the defense held up well. The attack was great too. I feel Roma had better chances but that's life.

If Roma are in front of City after the next two games, I think they will make it through. CSKA played decent against Bayern M, although they were home. If they take a few points off City i'll be pleased.

Can easily see this being a draw or loss, Basel have done pretty well against English teams recently
 
He's on the bench so I can only assume it's tactical. Being away from home Rodgers probably doesn't want the fullbacks bombing forward quite as much.

Probably he mentioned resting players tonight e.g lallana if any one was to be rested though surprised it isn't sterling having said that he is our most dangerous player right now so be too risky to
 
I would ordinarily agree but without Sterling and Sturridge we have absolutely no goal threat and very little pace in the side. Sterling's become a key first team player so if he's fit he has to play every minute of every game.

I know tbh I was expecting baloteli to be doing more goal wise than he is but he is least still helping out team. Countinho needs his a game tonight he can be truly amazing for us so I hope this is his night too
 
Been very impressed with Mario's workrate and ability outside of the box but he's playing like a target man at the moment rather than a striker that'll get in the box and get the goals. Not sure if that's what he's being asked to do or if that's his natural game but the lack of goals concerns me more than our defending.

Same with me, I was out on my bike while they were playing, came back looked on Bet365 to see 94 mins 0 - 0 then it dropped off the in play :mad:
