For about three games last year he looked ok. Since then I think he looks off the pace for the EPL. Most defintely if he is partnered by Pogba. Matic's legs have gone and yes I agree he hardly ever gives forward momentum. All you could say is that he is reliably average - a bit like a less hard working Milner.

Anyway - not a disasterous 1st half for United. Aside from Pogba strolling and giving the ball away we have looked better for having Sanchez up front instead of Lukaku. He moves more and holds it up better.
 
I know Klose has done it a couple of times. In a big game I'd half understand it, at home to Shaktar why even bother when you're gonna thrash them.

Matic yet again leaving men free at the edge of the box while he marks thin air. Another one of Mourinhos undroppables.
 
Good goal, not quite the goal of the century they are making it out to be.
