Can't fault the players for that second half performance but Rodgers should be ashamed of the first half. Must win game and you don't even try for to score for 45 minutes.

Play like that for the rest of the season and we'll be alright. Play like we did in the first half and Rodgers might as well resign now.
 
Can't knock Liverpool for entertainment factor, they'd have been well in there if they'd have put that sort of effort in early
 
Basel were knackered and the game opened up massively towards the end. Liverpool didn't suddenly start playing really well. If Basel had a decent attack Liverpool would have lost another 3 goals at the end there.

Pretty much. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment. Can't play the same attacking football we did last season without at least having Studge fit, but can't play defensively because we're simply not good enough.

What? You are saying that Liverpool suddenly started playing really well towards the end as if Basel didn't let the game open up massively. Basel had more of a part to play in the way the game ended than Liverpool did.

We can't because of Rodgers. He's put himself in this position with his signings. I don't see how we can progress under him, I certainly wouldn't trust him with anymore money.

I said at the end of the season I feared the over achievement last year would be his downfall this year, it's such a shame the side from last year didn't get a run at the champions league because I think it would have been fantastic entertainment. This season though, the way he has them playing is going to cost him his job.
