Before and as he went to Everton many people and on here stated he was a manager that went into pretty established team and won things as a coach. Not once has he built a team. Not that it matters, next year they won't be quite so fortunate, get knocked out in the quarters and get the sack. I mean even in Spain they have done nothing but report how they win in spite of him.
Anyway, genuinely shocked by the result. On the edge of a quad and end up winning two cups almost no one in the top 6 cares about unless they need a Euro place or nothing else to play for after the quarter/semi finals. Even then they could have gone to Chelsea on pens. The margin between quad and nothing this season for Liverpool has been amazing. I really thought they would win one of the league or CL. The league wasn't really in their hands but the CL final was spurs level choking.
Mostly I can't believe that bang average Madrid team has worked their way to another CL.

Fantastic season again from Liverpool. Shame about the CL, feels like we got mourinhoed.

Not really, we had moments and chances but simply poor at finishing along with Trent sleeping for Madrid's one chance.
If that was cut out the game was headed for penalties yet again lol.
Last ten minutes was incredibly bad though, like watching City trying to chase the game against Madrid just aimless with no composure.
Not sure if its our approach to the finals or just the forwards struggling but they have been painful despite the success. (Even as far back as Spurs/CWC final)
Disappointing end to the season, clearly the better side in the final but that's been Madrid's MO all throughout the Knockout stages. If you had offered me the 2 domestic cups, taking the league to the final day and a cl final at the start of the season I would have taken that, and so would every fan here. Proud of the team personally.
The organisation and policing at the final was utterly shambolic and I hope heads will roll as a consequence (highly doubt it tho).
Team needs refreshing and I'm looking forward

Its one thing having an opinion its another mocking Liverpool when your club is absolute dire.
I'm not sure why you feel the need to bite? Yeah the result was disappointing, but we're playing games they can only dream of. We know, and they know, that their teams will never be in this position of chasing the same trophies we are. It's pretty sad that the only joy the season brings them is Liverpool not winning.

infact from the very start before kick off I said it was ridiculous how much smoke bt were blowing up liverpools ass and real had beaten all the top teams in their path
Interesting match. I thought we improved drastically after Firmino came on. I still don't think that we have another player who can link play like he does, and we usually look better with him than without. Finding a younger version needs to be our priority imo.

Honestly one of Mourinho’s good old teams would’ve made us look much worse yesterday, we just weren’t at it. Long season caught up with us whilst Madrid had a months prep
So, the morning after, looking back on the match last night, I have to say that it was a pretty crap final. Neither side really shone and with the exception of Courtios most players in both teams , failed to sparkle. As a beacon of champions league final entertainment, it failed greatly. The quarters and semis were far better games.
