UEFA Champions League Final Man City v Chelsea ** spoilers ** [Saturday 29th May 2021]

Tuchel is like Pep's Kryptonite. Chelsea has beaten them 3 times now since he arrived in January. After 2 losses I think Pep wanted to try something new and different, playing with no Rodri and Fernandinho but that didn't work either. They completely lost their possession and passing game, there was no one else to counter Kante in Midfield. Second Half City did slightly better but De Bruyne went off was a real blow, by then with Fernandinho on the Midfield battle was lost and with it the game really. City can't cross it in as they don't have the height to win crosses with their front players being much smaller than the Chelsea back line. Their normal passing game was disrupted, overall Chelsea created more clear cut chances and scored one of them and City didn't really trouble Mendy at all.

Both.there was intent to foul him
I don't think a block is a red card, it's a cynical yellow but I do think a tackle that causes injury should have retrospective punishment for however long the injured person is out for.

I think Rudiger stopped KDB getting a minus rating on match performance.

You can award a red for endangering another player though. Smacking him like that in a deliberate foul that results in the guy having to go off should become a mandatory red. It's another CL final with a dubious cynical premeditated foul. It's disgusting. Just like Ramos on Salah this sort of thing should be cracked down on now we have VAR. Did the player foul him intentionally yes/no. If yes, and the other players has had to go off as a result, how is that not "endangering a player through reckless action?" Auto-red IMO.

He didn't "smack" him he blocked his run off, for me he wasn't intentionally out to injure KDB

The videos of City and Chelsea fans fighting and smashing the **** out of everything are a disgrace. What is wrong with their fans? Liverpool vs Spurs game went off without any violence yet there are no shortage of videos doing the rounds of outdoor restaurants and bars all smashed up and fans fighting. Any fans seen fighting or vandalising should be banned from football for life. First time fans can travel and they do this

He didnt "block" him tho. That would be obstruction. He's deliberately positioned himself used his body to hit him hard and hurt KDB. Its an off the ball incident and a red card.

Its a "let him know hes there" challenge the pundits love that often result in injuries. Kind of like the "taking one for the team" yellow that are actually cheating.

Chelsea have always had a pretty hardcore away following. Think it was a channel 4 or BBC documentary a few years ago following ‘youth firms’ and City had an up and coming band of thugs willing to scrap. The youth are trying to bring it back but it will never be big as the 80’s, too easy to catch them now.

I've been on many Chelsea away trips and have only seen 2 accounts of violence in 20ish years and one of those was started by French police using batons.
