I had mates (Spurs fans) who went to Madrid for the final and they all said it went off without any hassle between the fans. Liverpool and Spurs mixed before and after the game and there was no violence. Yet here we are and its not like the bar and restaurant owners haven't had a bad enough year, then some thugs turn up and smash up all their furniture and bars. Hopefully the British police use the video evidence and get lifetime banning orders on all of them, a few weeks in jail would be a bonus as well.

The problem is they never enforce travel bans, I've seen guys who were supposed to have a football related travel ban on Chelsea trips.

With facial recognition becoming more of a thing hopefully grounds will use it more to not just stop fans but lead the police to them to apprehend them. Also they shouldn't be allowed to leave the country 2 weeks either side of the game being played abroad. Might sound harsh but they made their bed. TBH I'm not sure why these countries don't have them on a permanent ban list, why would you want such people in your country?

The problem is for mister normality with wife children and kids. It is very difficult to justify getting the time off work and kids with nothing better to do just get a cheap ferry with mates and bundle in a car. Their sole purpose is to get wasted. The football is secondary.
