Liverpool didn't lose that...Karius did.
Nah. As shocking as Karius undoubtedly was, Liverpool couldn't string more than two passes together before giving it away (in the 2nd half).

We were sat here watching, and literally you could count the passes... 1... 2... give it away. 1.. 2.. 3... give it away.

Over and over. The only variation was when they just hoofed it up the pitch and give it away that way.

Yes, Karius cost them two goals. But Liverpool on their 2nd half showing were never going to win that game.

Real Madrid were the better side by a substantial margin. They passed and played the game the right way (minus the diving and play acting... bloody Ramos...)

Hope Karius still goes on to do well wherever, the first one was iffy but you always knew the second one was in him :(

Weird to make that up

For a team that relied on a single player, we held Madrid to one of the best goals a CL final will ever see and two from unforced errors. Unbelievable performance from our entire back 4 as the only chances they had that were decent came as we chased the game and we denied every single one of them.

Oh without a doubt you guys were the better team before Ramos did his deed.

Obviously a complete nightmare for Karius, which is a shame as he's actually been good this season since he took over from Mignolet. I have to feel for him as that's going to take some getting over.

Match turned on the Salah injury, poor timing as well as the obvious loss of one of the top players, as Real were just starting to get into the game.

Dunno she's pretty hot.
:D

What on earth was Karius thinking with that Benzema goal, hardly like he appeared out of nowhere and nicked it off him he was literally RIGHT in front of him!

They keep going on about what Bale said meaning he’s off. What did I miss?

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale on BT Sport: "Obviously I was very disappointed not to start the game, I felt I deserved it but the manager makes the decisions. The best I have been doing is to come on and make an impact, I certainly did.

"It has to be the best goal in a Champions League final, there is no bigger stage. I am just happy to get the win

"It is a team game but when you are a substitute, it is a game of more than 11 players. I made an impact.

"We know what we have achieved and how good we have been. The league was disappointing but we won the Champions League. It turns out to be a great season.

"We let everyone else speak. We know how hungry we are in the changing room, how prepared and motivated we are."

Asked about his future: "I need to be playing week in, week out and that has not happened this season. I had an injury five, six weeks in but fit ever since. I have to sit down with my agent in the summer and discuss it."
