Playing 4-4-2 away from home in Europe with two wingers and only one holding midfielder was really not advisable. Harry's learning about the Champions League the hard way tbh.

I feel a bit for the Spurs fans, Redknapp should know better. All that hard work last season to effectively fall at the last hurdle inside 30 minutes.

It's hardly that weak a side. Given how many injuries they had through last season, tonight's team is pretty close to the same one that got them that 4th place. They just look like they don't care.

Fergie has made enough mistakes in the CL, so 'Arry cant really be blamed for losing away from home imo

Going all gung-ho with the selection /formation is criminal though - especially in the Club's ....even 'Arry's first CL match

edit -- Modric with an injury? (that would be a serious concern if the case, for the league as much as anything in the 2nd half of this match)
 
It's far from being over, even if Spurs only pull one back on the night, a 2-0 win would be OK at the lane. It's settled down a bit now they've got Huddlestone in the midfield there now.

Think you are spot on Pigeon Killer, 4-4-2 is brave/risky/naive in Europe these days
