Of course he's arrogant, the level he plays and maintains in a world where footballers can earn almost half a million a month, what else could he be. Messi is no different, just more subtle.

At least he's made it to the very top and become arrogant, unlike our own players who act like big time Charlie's and have achieved less in their careers than he does in a season.

He's a top bloke and philanthropist. He also regularly donates blood, hence the lack of tattoos. I respect him more than any other player for that.

Ronaldo is an absolute **** on the pitch but off the pitch, he is a decent person with his acts of kindness especially towards disadvantaged kids.

I'm no fan of his but off the field, he most definitely has my respect.

The 'so what if he's arrogant' is exactly why he gets stick from people. It's all very well being arrogant when you're the best but people will relish winding it in when you make an arse of yourself, especially so soon after publicly commenting on Iceland the way he did.
