He looked it before he even hit the ground.
doesn't mean its over though. A work colleague had a cardiac arrest, they were bending down to pick something up and just dropped. They were revived multiple times and had to be placed in a medically induced coma but they pulled through.

As soon as I saw that I thought of Muamba. Always assumed they were on the ball with any previously undetected heart stuff with players after that but at a guess some stuff isn't easy to pick up unless it manifests itself acutely.

Yea, hopefully he's fine.

This is horrendous so sad to see you wouldnt believe it would happen to a professional footballer I know obviously you had the Muamba incident.

I imagine he been put into induced coma?

Can't they do that on the way.

I'm sure they know exactly what to do, but surprises me.

I was at White Hart Lane the night Fabrice Muamaba suffered cardiac arrest. They were working on him on the pitch for a good 20 mins before the moved him and they kept working on him throughout that. They managed to save his life, lets hope the can do the same here.

hope he pulls through. But there needs to be a serious investigation (fines and sackings) with regards to the TV coverage of the incident, its like they were treating as some soap zooming in on the poor guy then zooming in for a cheap shot of the wife. disgusting coverage.

A little surprised the BBC didn't cut away earlier instead of carrying on with the feed.

On sky sports they never show a serious incident. Things that might be leg breaks etc.

BBC don't control the feed. Although they can of course cut away from it.

I actually feel ill after having seen that, makes you realise it can happen to anyone at anytime. I seriously hope he pulls through, so awful :(

Agreed, can't believe they focused on it for so long, even as the players made a clear effort to shield what was happening. Even lower of them to show who I assume was his wife in tatters on the sideline.

The Mrs has just shown me a picture from twitter of him apparently being wheeled off, looks like he may be concious, holding his hand on his head.

Fingers crossed.
