Yeah, very much in the same vein as commentators gushing about a few of the France goals in previous matches and then saying "yeah, my first thought was that he looked offside" once the offside flag has been raised. ******* morons the lot of them.

Umpteen times better. Seeing those millimetre tight offside replays where anyone's nipple could be offside in the PL is infuriating.

France are suffering from their attackers not turning up this tournament. Benzema and Mbappe have both been poor. Even against Hungary they had 4 or 5 chances but didn't convert and then Hungary scored their first chance.

I've been pondering on this the last few days, Southgate has been pretty heavily slated on these forums so my question is this, should England go on to win the tournament, would the consensus be that we won it because of Southgate being manager or in spite of Southgate being manager

in spite of. we won the last game in spite of him, he was surprised by Saka's proficiency and what it brought to the mix. He then put the brakes back on at half time when he could get them in the room and remind them of his tactics.
I think in spite, but with it being the national side i'd rather have an average English manager in charge than another nationality, and i think currently we only have average options.

I wouldn't say Deschamps is fantastic but won league titles in the French league and has that winning mentality. He won every trophy a player could win for club and country and has been in 4 finals for country between player and manager. Not really sure who else you would give it to? Apart from maybe Wenger.
