UEFA Euro 2020 Round of 16 ** spoilers ** [26th - 29th June 2021]

Nothing would be more England than winning today and then after a week of "it's coming home" media hype crashing out in the next round to some team we all expect to beat.

Pfff, don’t know what to make of that starting 11. Got that Croatia World Cup feeling tbh. I can see why we’ve gone to a 5 but no attacking midfielders? Ugh.

All disagreements aside, let’s hope Southgate has got this right and playing at Wembley gives us the edge.

Fingers crossed.

I'm sure the fans will spur us on to heroic acts of defending as the Germans pummel us.

I don't know if my body can handle penalties today, I think I'd be happier to get thrashed than have to go through that

I think it'll be a close game, it might not be the most exciting but we have a lot of quality on the bench to change things up, if Gareth wants to go bold (maybe?!?).

I'd take winning the thing regardless of performance, we'll worry about attractive football once we've won something again!

I think it’s going to be about not conceding and hitting them on the break. If we concede it’s hard to see how we can come back with that team tbh but maybe he has a plan to change it if that happens.

We've apparently created the least amount of chances of all of the remaining teams so we probably don't have a lot to lose by being overly defensive.

That's an incredibly defensive starting line up from England. Even knowing that Southgate enjoys defensive football I'm a bit shocked. Feels like we've just given up on any type of creative build up play and are going all in on trying to counter after inviting pressure.

It could have been worse we could have still had Sam Allardyce.

Southgate is probably hoping to nick a goal or two on set pieces, wouldn't surprise me if it's all they've been working on in training.

Wow. Grealish on the bench? He must have upset Southgate in the last match or something by pressing forwards. Foden and Mount on the bench too. Interesting...
