Is it me or is Sterling's football intelligence severely lacking? Shaw makes a run forward into space but what does Sterling do? Runs into that space and loses the ball. Should have put a ball through for Shaw and made a run into another space to either receive the ball back or take a player with him.

Sterling needs to look for passes more. He is being ridiculously greedy and running into dead ends all the time instead of passing and moving. Hes always taking 2-3 touches before he thinks of passing.

it's why Southgate's disdain for any of Ings, Vardy, Watkins, Bamford, Maddison, JWP, makes you wonder wtf is the point. He has his favourites and that's that. Only exception has been Dier who only missed out thanks to lack of game time. Otherwise he'd be out there too.
