So many decent players though. Can't help but think that Maguire sets the tone for the whole team with his inability to do anything right. Surely Southgate has to change that of they are to progress.

They seem so devoid of ideas, tho.
Any team that actually has a semblance of creativity, of quick thinking and tactical flexibility, we lose to. Any team that is resistant to our Plan A, we struggle with, or lose to.
When it's clearly not working, we don't change anything. Asking England to switch it up and have a plan B is like asking a sledgehammer to be a compass.

If our players would just attack... they are better quality and will score...
Scotland>England at the moment! Scotland have won all 5 of their games including against Spain and Norway. England look almost lost and see happy for a point. I know Ukraine are in second so a point doesn't do either team any favours or any harm but it's all just a bit dull isn't it?
