So that is the stage we're at? Any kind of contact in the box is a penalty now? someone brushes up against another player and bam it's a penalty. That is sickening. We might as well not bother with defenders any more, this isn't even a challenge let alone a foul. It's just two players running looking at the ball and brushing into each other.

I agree the contact was only slight but it ultimately caused him to trip over so it's a foul. If someone is running and you clip their back leg they will often lose balance and fall down.

It kind of feels like one of those silly pre season tournaments, I'm finding it hard to get excited about it too.

I'm watching it mainly because that's it for footie until the new season starts, but yeh, not really bothered about the outcome.

It's a friendly in all but name and I'd guess most of the player's heads are already thinking about the beaches, bars and babes.
