to be honest the quality behind Depay is dire. It's great when De Jong has the ball but their attacking options are flipping Ryan Babel in 2019 (who I assume has that haircut so everyone talks about how **** that is instead of his football) and Bergwijn who has been pretty invisible. Depay has never struck me as a solo striker.
Not sure why Shaw isn't in the squad, perhaps because he pulled out earlier this year? Chilwell has been terrible.

This is identical to the Croatia game. Take the lead, dominating the game, no chance of losing.... Southgate changes at half time to sit back and defend with 11 behind the ball for 45mins.
We've lost this, shocking display and Southgate either needs to leave or get an assistant who can teach him that a 1-0 lead does not mean you can sit behind the ball for the next X minutes with no plan.
