Well it's a shame that we don't get to see this one live but Bravo will be showing it as usual a day after the event.

On paper it doesn't seem that good a card IMO but there are still some interesting matchups.

Fight Card:
Sylvia Vs. Nogueira
Mir Vs. Lesnar
Horn Vs. Marquardt
Tibau Vs. Tyson Griffin
Yundt Vs. Almeida
Lytle Vs. Bradley
Eastman Vs. Martin
Heath Vs. Boetsch
Nakamura Vs. Emerson

So how well will Lesnar get on in the Octagon?

As a WWE fan I'll probably give this a watch tomorrow to see how Lesnar gets on (not into MMA really), he did win an NCAA amateur wrestling title in his college days so he's got a bit of 'real' fighting pedigree, can't imagine he's gonna have much stamina though!

He needs a manager on the outside to throw a steel chair in when the Ref's knocked out just to be on the safe side though :p

I watched Lesnar fight Min Soo Kim and he didn't do badly but Mir is a different proposition.

Mir hasn't been half the fighter he was before the bike crash, but if he's getting back to his best, it could be a good fight, as it looks like Lesnar has been training hard since his debut.

As for Sylvia v Nogueira, I'd probably go for Sylvia, especially in light of some recent Pride fighters struggling in the UFC, although if Nogueira wins, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise.

I think Horn v Marquardt could be a decent fight and once Horn gets some more experience, he could be a real challenger for the title.;)

Lesnar fighting Min Soo Kim is nothing to go by.

I really think Lesnar has what it takes and I'm fully backing him. It's going to be a tough fight, I don't think it's really going to be one sided and I don't think it'll be the best fight we've ever seen but it'll be good.

Lesnar is a former NCAA Wrestling Champion and Runner Up, and a two time Big Ten Winner... he's got an incredibly good amature heavyweight wrestling background... and I think that anyone that is over looking him purely because he's been in the WWE, is in for a big surprise.

Lesnar seems to be a guy that takes anything he gets into incredibly seriously.

I want Mir vs Lesner to be a good fight! dont care who wins tbh, should be good:D

And big nog hopefully, although lately i been wanting Tim to get his belt back :o

Only one upset really, the rest were as expected.

Don't want to spoil it even though Kev said after it is shown (you guys blamed me before :() so I will just say it was ok, not a great packed three hours like UFC 79!

I feel Mir got a bit lucky in that fight. Lesnar SO nearly had him.

As for the main event - that was classic Nogueira. He was getting pretty 0wned until the victory.

If Brock hadn't hit Mir on the back of the head, it may have been a different outcome, but I think inexperience showed there, but having said that, there isn't a better heavyweight on their back than Mir.

Inexperience did show through for Lesnar I think but his opponent was indeed a tough opponent and Frank was better on the night.

Just watched the Lesnar and Mir fight, Lesnar was handing a beating to Mir.

The couple of shots to the back of the head played into that. The stand up may have lost Lesnar the fight.

I'm not sure if Lesnar would have lasted 3 rounds though, he looked very explosive and looked like he may have tired himself out sooner or later.

Hopefully Lesnar gets back training and doesn't take this loss too hard, he looks like he'll come good in the UFC after some more experience.

I know Angle is too injured now but how I would have loved to have seen a Angle/Lesnar MMA match.

Would have blown the roof off any arena.

Poor from Lesner - he should have taken his time when on top as he was just swinging for the fences rather than picking the shots to stop Mir - props to Mir as he got the leg lock but Lesner was very inexpeirenced to get caught in that fashion and should have really stopped Mir early.

Big props to Nogueira - he took a few huges shots from Silvia but so happy to see him win as i hate Tim with a passion.

Also not sure if the David Heath Vs. Tim Boetsch fight was shown on bravo but heath got mangled!

Also one of the funniest moments i've ever seen in the UFC was the Chris Lytle Vs. Kyle Bradley fight. Lytle was all over him from the bell and had him down and Bradley was taking a battering and Yves (the ref) dived in to stop the fight but Bradley thought it was Lytle and started to posture up and grab the ref's head not realising the fight was over!! Very funny

Sorry, found it funny :)

Brock fight was good, felt a bit sorry for him, fair play to him as he did give it a good go but he just looked sloppy and really it was just a case of when Mir was going to get him into submission as I doubt he could KO him. Nogueira fight was great, he took a massive beating and was just waiting for the chance to get Silva on his back, which he eventually got. Although Silva did well, he looked like he was controlling Nogueira's takedown attempts extremely well. Think when he tried to get up just before he got put into submission was his downfall, should have stayed on top of him, but as soon as he tried to break away from the floor Nogueira seemed to get ahold of his leg and flip him over.

Didn't care for the lightweight fights, too much rolling around on the floor trying to get each other into submission, which I don't really like, prefer more of a boxing/kicking styles.

Even though Brock lost, I thought he actually looked half decent, with his aggressive style I can see him being a good contender very soon! He lost to a very good BJJ veteran, he can only learn from it!

Big nog im glad for him, he makes me laugh when he fights though, he gets battered then always wins :p

Boetsch through that guy like a ragdoll! he fought at the last minute too! Also I was very impressed with Emerson, he looked cack in The Ultimate Fighter, I think hes improved heaps!!

I doubt it really.

It would sell with wrestling fans, but then you've got to ask yourself what proportion of wrestling fans are true MMA fans and would actually appreciate an MMA bout?

I'm not sure if they'd think it was boring or not.

As an old die hard wrestling fan, I personally love MMA... so maybe I've answered my own question.

I'd fear you'd have young teens or children just recognising the names and watching it for that and not appreciating it though...

There was talk of a Chuck Liddell/Kurt Angle fight not long ago, not sure whether this will ever happen though.

I enjoyed that lesnar fight, the guy is a complete animal. I think he was a bit to eager and his inexperience was showing. But with some training (the guy was already a wrestling champ) he could be lethal. The sheer size of him as well :|

Not a bad event.

Lesnar made a big mistake due to his inexperience and Mir took his only lifeline which won him the fight. Mir took a right battering and he might have been made an example of if not for the time out. Anyhow, well done to Mir for doing the business in a bad situation. Brock looks like he will be a force to recon with.

I am glad Nogueira won and I said many of times that if the right person with jujitsu gets Sylvia to the ground, they can easily win the fight which Nogueira did with ease, well after getting him to the ground.

Mir v Nogueira and Lesnar v Sylvia would be great matches.

The fight that most interested me was the Heath Vs. Boetsch match. Boetsch looked like no pushover and boy did he showed style in the ring. I look to seeing Boetsch in the future.

Second that, he was on fire! great fight.

Personally I was quite happy to see Lesnar lose, took a disliking to him for some reason.

How is everyone here watching it anyway? Do you need the paid sports channels to watch it on sky??
