last night I went in 2 night clubs, got id'd in one.

I left to go to a college party and tried to return to both nightclubs

the first one I got in fine i got in half way to the bar I was getting pulled out by bouncers "Oi u ****ing **** no trackie bottoms" so I try to get in the other one, the same bouncer that ID'd me before was still on but his friend asked me and then his friend decided my id wasn't sufficient proof that I was old enough to enter the establishment.

Now I admit if i new I was going out i would have dressed a little less casual but still getting pulled out of that first club is really annoying as I was already in the venue and was verbally assaulted whilst being removed.

Is this common? I can understand why some people try and kick off at the door now. If i was drunk and staggering everywhere I could have understood it but I hadent been drinking since about 9pm when I had 2 pints of bods. (These events took place 12-12:30ish)

IF you showed a bit of nipple you would have been fine. Oh wait a minute your not a women.

Yea some of them can be complete ********* just because they have a little bit of power.

Id like to seem them ID everyone regardless of age.

Dont some places change their dress code depending on the time of evening?? Ive been in a pub from the early evening only to be told that I would have to leave at 8 as their dress code changed and my attire was not appropriate!!!

So... I should work on getting manboobs?

Mate, in the vast majority of circumstances bounchers are those scum that left school at 16 with no life expectations, realising that they'd always be at the bottom of the ladder.

They get a little bit of power and think they need to exert it over others because they're embaressed at their lack of worth. Same goes with a lot of the police force.

Ever tried counselling?

Real moral of the story is dont wear tracksuit bottoms now you have grown up , get some real clothes. (even if you didnt know u was going to go out just dont wear tracksuit bottoms fullstop)

Hardly, if you knew half of the **** these guys have to put up with you would have some sympathy for them. Everyone is out to give them a hard time and wind them up and like all professions a bad few bad people give the vast majority a bad reputation. Never had a problem with bouncers myself but never given them any hassle.

Regarding your situation, they were doing their job. You were dressed inappropriately so you got thrown out. Get over it.

its far from the vast majority of circumstances
I work a few doors as well as doing concert security, and 90% of the people who i know do it as a second income
99% of them are just ordinary people, but it depends on the type of club you're going to, some crowds require/encourage a certain mentality of the bouncers

in this case it sounds like they dealt badly with a situation, probably because they'd not noticed until you'd gone past them once
sounds like they may be **** but even them i wouldnt judge on this situation let alone all bouncers

But I was dressed appropriately earlier in the night when I was wearing the extract same thing? And that still doesnt justify why they swore at me and dragged me out rather than telling me the problem and asking me to leave.

A tap on the shoulder and "no trackie bottoms m8" would have sufficed, no?

it would have done, as would noticing the 1st time you came in, or before you came in the 2nd time, both of which they should have done

They have to deal with drunk morons all night so if they were approaching you from behind they must have assumed you were drunk. Hardly a big deal, sure people have said worse to you in the past?

Yeah people I know and when they had a justified reason to say it.

So, blackpool ftl

Some bouncers really annoy me, there was a bad case in Romford around here when a bouncer paralysed a girl for life from the waist down because of the way he picked her up and threw her out of a club, he's in jail now and the club got shut down but that poor girl is going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life because some bloke on a power trip thought he'd boost his ego by picking up a girl and throwing her out when he could have just asked her to leave

The joys of clubbing. :(

the joys of going to pretentious clubs ;)

try going to a larger well known club on a special night (gatecrasher, godskitchen etc) chances are no-one will be IDed and you could walk in wearing virtually nothing :)
