ugh bouncers are inconsistent

No its not in the majority of cases at all mate, its very rare these days with all the licensing to have a bully doorman with the characteristics you describe, 90% of us these days do their job well and have day jobs and are not bullies. , the boys and girls i work with on the doors are very intelligent people, 1 who is doing a masters, 1 who is a web designer, im an apprentice electrician, so before you start talking a load of **** have a think.

Mate you sound like a right idiot.

Gosh you're awfully aggressive aren't you! :p

Be careful around bouncers, sometimes you get wannabee bouncers that hang around near them and try to do the bouncers job for them, nearly got beat up badly as a result.

They're inconsistent because they're all human. I have very little trouble with bouncers, that's because I dress well and make sure I take proper ID. I'm pretty suprised you managed to get into any establishment with bouncers wearing trakkies, and I doubt the appauling verbal abuse won't leave you too scarred ;)

Ant

Mate, in the vast majority of circumstances bounchers are those scum that left school at 16 with no life expectations, realising that they'd always be at the bottom of the ladder.

They get a little bit of power and think they need to exert it over others because they're embaressed at their lack of worth. Same goes with a lot of the police force.
I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm worried about ever getting arrested cause there is no way I would show any respect to the wee nafs that seem to be employed by Strathclyde and Central Police today.

One bouncer wouldn't take my driving license as ID because my mate jokingly said it was fake

90% of bouncers I've come across are muppets, degree or not ;).

lol, where was that at?

Jumpin Jaks in Swansea.

Not the fact that I was 21 at the time and my mate was hammered, but more like the doorman being a complete tool.

....he also stopped my mate for being drunk when somebody tripped him up. (he hadn't drunk all night either; designated driver)

For every good doorman, theres a terrible one though.

Admitadly they have a hard job at times organising hundreds of **** heads through a 3 foot gap.

How did you manage to slip police officers in there? A completely unjustified statement.

The lesson really is don't wear "trackies" outside of the gym, let alone to a club..

One place I haven't been. The bouncers at Time/Envy are 'tards though.

rofl, regardless of the power trip some of them seem ot be on, you spend a single night on the door at a half active place and you will see them in a different light.

you was wearing trackie bottoms on a night out? my bad i read it wrong.

but there are dress codes, i dont go out with any form of trainer on :/

Like most jobs you will get all sorts. I grew up in a seaside town and the bouncers there in the 80's where all locals and mostly OK without the current regulations.

You did get idiot bouncers i.e the head bouncer at one club was the owners son and saw the job as a way to pull any girl he liked it was actually dangerous to go to the club if he decided he liked a girl u where with.

The reverse must also be pointed out the first stag do I ever went was at a club that held 500-1000 and despite this out group of 12 basically got our personal bouncer for the night, as we passed out or got so ****** we couldnt move he politley escorted us out, even arranged medical attention for my mate who cut his head passing out. By the end if the evening 7 or the 12 where on the mini-bus sobering up lmao. Thats good management of drunks.

*presses ignore*

what i would like to know is what is that a bouncer id's someone for. lets say theyve got a 'baby face' as its called or maybe or maybe ther like 4ft tool. but what is it as a bouncer that makes you think your going to ask for id

I try and save the bother of them asking and just walk in with ID at the ready. For the sake of 3 seconds (assuming they have no worries about the ID), I really couldn't be fussed. It does depend on the type of bouncer you get, but generally most i've encountered have there banter and let me past.
