Ugliest car ever?

It's not great, but I don't think it would be quite so bad if you painted it in a colour that anyone with the slightest modicum of taste would spec a car in.

My thoughts entirely. If the goldy/brown was all black, then it wouldn't look too bad, just the front grille needs sorting.

Panda 4x4 was great. I'd have one of those over this tasteless monstrosity any day :D

You can head out green-laning with me anytime..

That BMW is a horror. What were they thinking?

Not as bad as some on here, but just the fact its being considered in the list with the Fiat Multipla is bad enough.

At least the Multipla ugly was functional! - great vision, loads of room etc.

This thing.... ?!?!

Yeah I agree - the Multipla was no doubt a very ugly car, but it seemed to wear it's ugliness well because you got the feeling that they'd just tried to design it from a purely functional standpoint.

I think we need to remember that cars need to “bed-in” into our consciousness - remember the first time you saw the Porsche Cayenne? It was supposedly one of the most hideous things ever made. It’s not so bad now. In fact it’s quite a handsome car. And the way they transformed the Panamera from a fairly hideous hatchback into a really good looking shooting brake was almost miraculous. These comments about massive grilles were made when Audi started their original single-frame grille design and its sort of just gone into our subconscious now.

And quite often these cars look better in the metal/on the road.

I do find it completely jarring now. Ask me again in a couple of years.

The biggest issue with the Cayenne was the bastardisation of a sports car brand - and the idea of putting ludicrous amounts of power into an incredibly expensive and inefficient 4x4. And it turned out that there was a customer for this kind of car, and they could all be found on the school run. The Cayenne is still a monstrosity. However so many other premium brands have brought out a clone - it's become almost common place now.

With such saturation of the market, it's like BMW are choosing to design something absolutely horrific, just to stand out from the crowd.

The Ford Scorpio wasn't particularly a looker.

That new BMW though, I just can't help but see an angry pig looking at me. What were they thinking. No chance I'd pay money for that.

Why do electric cars even need a grill at all? Surely all they need is small inlets for cooling the AC systems etc? BMW have always been my favourite German car brand but their current gen is even worse than the Bangle era which in hindsight wasn't that bad really.

I understand the whole Chinese class thing of having a grill but this is just madness.
