I asked Enta to up my SNR by 3db, which they have done, they also said they'd asked BT to check for a fault on my line, but I lost more than 1/2 meg of speed... :s Down to 7392 kbps.

Interleaving is on now too.

And because of all that my profile is now 6500 k..... :mad:

Can you do that?

My router is synced at 6912, on the 5500 profile according to bt, SNR of 3-4, attenuation 37, 2.56 Km according to samknows.

How can I get it faster?

Clearly snr is really bad, can it simply be increased?
Got a good faceplate already and no dodgy wiring.

Sounds like you're getting confused.

Enta will get BTw to up the target SNR margin - so the line will sync at a higher SNR margin, but at a lower speed as an effect.

I see. That's not the magic fix I was looking for at all

Can anything be done to up the SNR? I doubt it, must be due to length and quality of line. Middle of nowhere ftl.

Well last night about 9pm it jumed from a flat line at 177K to a nice healthy 600K so something must have got fixed. Didnt do anything....happy to have my proper speed back after a week of 1.5meg.

Speeds have been appalling for me past week or so, net is slow pretty much had enough tbh am paying £41 month and the service is dire, might switch back to Nilly never really had any probs with that speed wise.

made no difference, i came on about 2pm this afternoon, and Central 1, and TH 2 were both down to about 3mb or so.

I think everyones using my idea, and thats to download mostly in the peak hrs.

Just to let everyone here know: Telehouse 1 will be closed at 10pm tonight for maintenance. Keep off the high bandwidth media's to not ruin the connection for everyone!

And the new central has been delayed due to BT's incompetence. :rolleyes:

Just been kicked from Telehouse 1, and now on 2.

Yes all centrals are ussually green until we get to 10pm then all hell breaks loose :eek:

Yeah its gona grind to halt after 10pm when Tele 1 goes down, ALT will go down to 1mb, and i bet they leave it there from now on.

Its started now. Cenrtal 1, Tele 2 both red 1.2mb

They need to move the home users peak hrs too after 12 imo, since business customers started at 8pm its fine(am one of them) soon as the home off peaks kick in its terrible.
