They need to move the home users peak hrs too after 12 imo, since business customers started at 8pm its fine(am one of them) soon as the home off peaks kick in its terrible.

12 to 6, with say 10gb extra peak usage or so would be nice to see.

Agreed if you want lots of off peaks you pay a premium price like us on business lines, home users need to be capped more i think they way to generous.

Home MAX 45 - 45GB peak usage - 250GB off-peak usage. (or 200)

(12am - 6am Monday to Friday)

Leaving office packages the same, so office guys get the extra 4 hours a day off-peak and the extra off-peak usage.

Anyone?

Spot on m8, i would even go as far as taking the off peaks down too say 150gig a month.

Maybe this is why the moved the office forward to see where the real problem is, i pay £41 month for mine 90gig office max and its not good enough, atm i can only get 70kbs download.

Thats in Be Pro territory that is! :p

Do you really expect people to stick to their home products if it moved to 12pm? Yes some/most will but having 4 extra hours will sweeten the deal even further for those who are thinking about it. This will make the peak home user internet/gaming/VPNing time worse and may effect the amount of users staying with Enta.

I know next billing period I would hop over to office if that happened.

Still getting great pings though:

Maybe they need to do it based on price of package for example

Home MAX 3 3 GB 30 GB £16.50
Home MAX 30 30 GB 75GB £19.99
Home MAX 60 60 GB 100GB £29.99
Home MAX 90 90 GB 200GB £39.99
Home MAX 120 120 GB 390 GB £49.99
Home MAX 150 150 GB 420 GB £59.99

and do the same with office, if you pay more imo you should get a lot more i think there packages for off peaks are too high for the lower deals, Home MAX 30 30 GB 300 GB £19.99 for example 300gigi off peaks is way too much for that package.

If they put high off peaks on the Home 90gb pack you would see more drop to the cheaper packs with good off peaks still and the service wont be crap.

So you are saying you know how to run a buisness model better than Enta? If so become a L2TP reseller, create your own packages and sell them at the price points you think are fair.

However as soon as you divide usages into peak/offpeak you will always get the surge at the start of off peak from scheduled downloads. The easiest way for them to keep 10pm as green as 7 is to abolish off peak.

Yeah lesser of 2 evils if they do that they will lose a shed load of custom, best plan would be move off peaks too after 12 for all at least the service up to then would be great.

I can't get above 2 meg speeds now even in the day, tried rebooting router etc.

Still waiting for my speed to go up its been stuck at 2 meg since last night.

Is it constantly stuck the morning after? (the ALT has been on...) and then works to full speed after a reboot? Then contact Enta directly and they can fix it easily.

Mine is still at 2 meg today second day its been stuck there, my router is sync at 4768 which should give me 4 meg and i always get.

Speed test i just did the upload is fine its dl

One thing Id consider is see what the rate is like in about 1-2 days time. It may be the router synced quite low at some point, and your line profile was lowered, providing theres nothing wrong it may go up again :)

This is the results of a bt speed test on my line

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 832 kbps(UP-STREAM) 5728 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1831 kbps

I emailed Jason at ukfsn and he told me to do this and then phone enta which i done and they logging it with bt so touch wood it get sorted.

Gotta say, I am newly signed up to UKFSN and am loving it! True, I am coming from a 512k connection with AOL, so even when this connection gets slow it seems fast to me, but so far it is great for me.
Stuck at home during the day due to illness at the mo, and getting anywhere from 4 to 8 meg speeds at the moment. (Gotta say, coming from a connection where I was lucky to get 50k per second, downloading at 650K + is pretty sweeeeet!)
I don't mind the slowdown at off-peak times, as I think it is quite a fair way of doing things. I leave my large downloads going overnight, have everything set to download from 10 till 8 automatically, and figure everyone else is doing the same.
I can understand it doesn't work for those people that are actively using the connections past that time (For gaming etc), but maybe this isnt the ISP for those people?

i can now only get a download of around 80kbps and i get drop outs most days.

it's gone from a very good service to absolute rubbish!

EDIT: just done a speed test and i'm getting 550k download and 360k upload WTF!?
