Although I always feel more could have been done, Ukraine is certainly getting very well equipped in only the first 12 months. I’m sure there’s plenty of training going on for these and future armaments too.
The more Russia bombs civilians and the closer they get to Iran and NK, the more the US will send in response.

It would appear Russia needs the morale boost more than the Ukrainians. I'd carry on the delivery of high explosive Christmas pressies.
Must ensure that Ukraine can handle the logistical pyramid before giving them the tip of the spear as fumbling could easily be fatal.

Quell surprise.
Agreeing to a truce would only allow Russia to take advantage of the situation and therefore put more Ukrainian lives at risk in the long term. Ukraine needs to be unrelenting on the counter and continue to apply pressure and erode the willpower and fighting ability of the aggressors.

Its a political move designed to make Russia look like like the good guys to domestic audiences at least, if Ukraine shoots then they can claim oh look at these barbaric Ukrainians they're criminals thats why we're fighting this war. If ukraine is smart they'll fail to agree but hold back on the shooting until the russians inevitably shoot first as they simply can't be trusted not to.
