Very naive view. I imagine a large number have been forcibly conscripted.

I don't celebrate Russian deaths, but I am happy about Ukranian victories and hope they restore their internationally recognised borders.

This, Russia in a sense became "westernised", Luxury goods, McDonalds, Iphones, BMW's, Nikes etc became a way of life for them, they were part of the mainstream.

Now suddenly the population who lived like us are now suddenly isolated from what they know.

The older generation are hardened to it but the younger ones will now be starting to see the real outcome of this war.

The ones old enough to fight are now being conscripted and their parents are now suffering because their fate is uncertain.

How long before the worm turn's.

I suppose it's not going to happen but in a way I only see this war ending with a revolution in Russia
 
The 'best' result IMHO is that after receiving upgraded modern armour, after a ukrainian offensive, large numbers of Russian forces are encircled and isolated, put out of supply, and the demoralized and ill-treated conscripts start to surrender in their thousands, or tens of thousands. like spring 1945 Germany. Any war criminal elements can be sifted from the others, at leasure. And a significant surrender couldn't be portreyed as a victory to the ill-informed masses back home.

Safe warm secure prisoner of war cages... put near other safe non-tagetable assets, like homes and hospitals.

The west has been too slow and has allowed this. I hope things turn around, but Russia has the numbers and is adapting quickly.

Slow decisions have cost lives dithering over tanks decision for ever they should have been sent all last year.

At the start of all this I remember watching videos of entire roads and streets filled with burnt out Russian vehicles and at that time the AFU were reporting around 300 to 600 dead a day and a year later the numbers have doubled. Total pointless bloodbath for ones mans vanity. Just give the Ukrainians the weapons and armour their asking for will hopefully slice through the Russian lines and force the Russian's to surrender and leave the country and end this.
 
Top on the list of insanity from yesterday was a Ukrainian drone filming a group of Wagner’s.

They were hauling their wounded commander away on a tarp stretcher after a failed assault that nearly got them all killed.

Now any other army you would expect them to evac him to a hospital but these are Wagner and they mad so what do they do?

They carry him to some outbuildings where they vent their frustrations on him with a wood axe :cry:

And that’s why Ukraine will win.
