What Ukraine would relly need is a strike package capable of supressing the Russian Air defence, if they can't do this then whatever aircraft is supplied is going to find itself in a very dangerous enviroment that will limit its utility.

I really don't think NATO wil be willing to supply the EW assests that would be needed to accomplish the AD surpression mission.

It's no secret that the way the west would be fighting this would be to take out the AD and then drop precision weapons on anything of importance once the air has been secured.

They need long range ATACAMS to take out the air defences, but they still not stop Russian MANPADS. That's why A-10s are ineffective, the risk to 3 planes is too great
 
The problem in this war is that there is almost no dog fights, that goes for the air and ground. Most vehicles have been destroyed by manpad/atgm and artillery. So in this regard I'd prefer to be in the machine with better defence and a longer range gun than no defence, **** gun and better mobility because the chances of the T-55 being able to both flank a challenger 2 and be in range to hit it is very slim


But hey, it did work for the soviets in ww2. They sent waves of mobile t-34's against large Tiger tanks and eventually they were able to flank the Tigers and take them out; either that or the Tigers broke down because they were so unreliable

I feel like he's been thrown in the front of a bus a bit here. He claimed to be actively participating in the war early on, and has the footage to prove it. Maybe that was or wasn't officially as part of the Ukraine arny, who cares. But in recent months he's been in a more support role for those on the front lines which in my view is still playing an important part

Prigozhin has expanded these claims.

He says Ukraine plans to achieve three things with its extra 200k soldiers.

* Launch a 3 pronged offensive - the first will target the south, trying to push to Melitipol and onto to block Crimea and cut the Russian lines in half. The second push will be near Bakhmut to split LPR and DPR and the third offensive push will be across the border to capture or encircle Belgorod - he claims Ukraine plans to capture or encircle Belgorod so then they can trade it for Crimea

Nah they wont cross the border , they`ll sweep down and cut off all of wagnar from 20km behind
