Ton of transport flights into Kaliningrad this morning - wish I had any idea what was going on there - the pattern doesn't really match troops/equipment being flown out to use in Ukraine.

Few videos of animals being relocated by this guy https://www.facebook.com/FeldmanEcopark/videos/497540398484412 does raise a smile though such a messed up situation.

Quite an apocalyptic scene in Odesa in the morning light:

(We might as well give up on climate change at this point :s)

On another note https://twitter.com/GirkinGirkin/status/1510284968639016963 looks like these were staged for an assault on Lviv area and/or to cut off Kyiv from the west - not sure what they are doing with them now.

Don't really have a feel for what Russia's next move is going to be though they seem to be focussing more on solidifying their grip on the south east of Ukraine - lots of stuff in motion but not enough information and many OSINT sources seem to just be amplifying what is in the mainstream news currently rather than digging up lesser known stuff.

Get comfortable with the current situation, I foresee the next 20-30 years as proxy conflicts with Russia vs West. Big bonus' incloming for large weapons manufacturers. I mean lets face it. Its just a continuation of the staus quo of the cold war, with a little added technology. Only major difference hear is the accessability of information for the public to digest.
I think that you are right. This will not be a quick two year isolation with sanctions from like minded countries. It us more likely to exceed a generation and will go on until there is a change in governance and attitudes to imperialist strategies towards the countries around it. Russia is toast until it becomes more democratic, civilised and amenable.

I also think that all these mercenaries they are funding may be a source of terrorism towards the local population but I do not rule out the Russian armies themselves being undisciplined.

Just glad my that Godparent's Son and his wife managed to get out of Odesa a week or so back. Looks like things might be set to get properly scary down there in the coming days/weeks.

That first guy has already spent way too much time on the front lines - start of a 1000 yard stare and compartmentalising everything. Gonna have some serious trauma to deal with when/if this is over and he survives.

I would like to see more things like this: .." and two of our tanks arrived to help"
(radio free europe/Radio liberty) ukrainian troops hold a defensive line
https://youtu.be/fXAHc1tQ1wQ
That is a really good video showing how they feel

Also remember in this thread where someone said the russians strip the men to look for tatoos and noticed that soldier has a tatoo on his neck
But of cause i have no idea if that tatoo is anything to do with him being a fighter/soldier etc as loads of people have tattoos

These are the indicative estimates of Russia’s combat losses as of April 3, according to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian brutalisation of citizens was pre-planned with particular units chosen to carry it out:

It really feels like all the warning signs were there in Chechnya, Georgia, and the Donbass but we turned a blind eye to them.

We probably should have sanctioned earlier but would it have reached the acclaim it has now with countries and multinational companies taking part. I doubt it.

It seems odd that we’re hearing that talks are getting close to something being settled and yet we’re seeing stuff like this.
Wondering what those Ukrainian proposals are that there is agreement on. I really hope they don’t just cede all of the southern and eastern areas where Russia is attacking now.
If Ukraine and the west back down, we will be back here again in 5 years but this time Ukraine might not have the capacity to fight.
