UK's largest chip fab bought by China-owned firm

From the Hexus article:

The Newport semiconductor production site was first established in 1982 and was originally named INMOS. In subsequent years it has been owned and operated by STMicroelectronics, International Rectifier and Infineon, before becoming NWF in 2017. The South Wales facility is capable of making power and compound semiconductor ICs on 200mm-diameter wafers and has a capacity of 35,000 wafers starts per month

AFAIK it's been mostly foreign owned anyway,so I suspect we couldn't do that much.

However the UK government didn't really block the sale of Imagination Technologies to China either, but you need to blame Apple for making this a reality.

Greed is making China/Russia life easy. They are both buying up debt, land and infrastructure in many countries.

They basically own entire smaller countries due to infrastructure loans at this point.

The biggest crime is the fact that we invented Graphene at Manchester University (a wonder material that is going to change the world) but the government allowed all the patents to be sold to China
