Ultimate Game Room

The fact he's posting it on you tube suggests to me he has no friends to show it off to.

What a shame.

Truth is I do it so when and if there is an insurance claim, I can prove I owned the items and the value of such items. That and my family lives in New Zealand its the only way I can show off what i have done to the new home.

The large Control panel was in attract mode when I shot this, When I am playing a game, I have it set up to only light up the buttons needed for each game.

Its controlled buy LED Blinky, great program, Its a great program that lets you custom design exactly how you want the LEDS to shine, and when. Almost like a script.

I built it to replace most of my broken down game systems I have owned thur the years, and to preserve a piece of my youth. ( almost 40 here ) Also my wife and kids love to play, and its great when we have parties.

Thanks to most of your replies =)

Ahhh Also, we live in Vegas, NV. USA. Gambling is what we do, on any given Friday or Saturday we have poker night. Loosing parties can always go play the slots or the arcades, or shoot pool.

Leccy bill = Electrical Bill? If I am assuming right, we have solar panels installed as a canopy over the balcony of the home ( 3,800 sq foot home ). With Vegas being in the middle of a desert, we get plenty of sun to make our bill almost a non factor.

Also seeing as this is OC forums, thought you might be interested in my CPU. 6 22 inch Monitors, hooked up to a e8500 chip OC to 4.6 on a 680i board.

Awesome setup EQ. Very envious and you definitely laid the foundations of what I hope to do one day when I move into a bigger house with a spare bedroom to make into a game room :)

Regarding Hyperspin, does it come with all those preview clips for each of the games? That must be heluva video clips considering the number of games MAME supports?

Also what resolution are you running Hyperspin?

Too much money!

A others have said, he'll never play most of the games, and he looked like he was struggling to find something good to show the camera.

Although if I had the money, I'd get carried away too.

you have to download the movies separately from emumovies.com or similar

you have to pay a subscription to use that site (its not illegal or anything)

they have game movies for all the consoles / mame etc..

high quality mame movies can take up 20gb or so of space

welcome to the forums :)

32gb PSP, nice

lose the flashing LED's, makes it all look tacky

Thats an amazing setup pal, dont let the envious dudes put you off this fine forum! ;)

Its clear you've put in a lot of work, and just because your not a happy bubbly tv presenter everyone assumes your a sad pleb. Not true, I guess it was hard work shooting that video trying not to get bogged down in detail because its clear there IS a lot of detail gone into all that!

Well done.

Each theme for each game requires the FLV of the game. You can get them from Emumovies. My set up has 6 TB HD space so that It can handle all of them. Also Hyperspin is a work in progress, and the themes them selfs are built by people like you and me, that have a desire to contribute. In no way will it come close to being complete, but for the most part its a labor of love.

Regarding playing all of them, its true, I won't, and there are a few I even dislike. But I am a Collector of games. Its nice to know that I have it, if buy chance a friends wants to play it. Some collect coins, that they never cash in, or stamps they never use... Whats the difference?

Also I see it as a way of holding onto our digital past. Retro gaming ***. LOL

with emumovies you have to pay the sub to download the movies, can you clarify if they are in bundles or indiviual:eek:

ive been told they are in bundles but just want to make sure

also with hyperspin can you run batch files, like with maximus arcade?

is hyperspin easy to configure?
