Dunno about tax avoiding tho, this all depends an what point of view you have also in the first 5 years you are pretty save about not getting investigated unless they change the law significantly soon. Since you're not breaking the law as this areA is very grey at the moment

Such bad advice. You can be audited at any point in time (subject to flexible time limits on returns they can query). HMRChave software which analyses your income and expenses based on the industry you work in. Anything odd they will query (along with random audits), in which case you better hope your tax return follows the strict line of the law caus they'll pick and pick to get as much out of you as they can.
