Do the Met have any footage or material on opening a gate?
Dunno, try an FOI request.

That's how I see it as well, if he was doing it at speed - nutter!I'm surprised you said that
North Anderson Drive - to be on the opposite carriageway you'd have to be on the wrong side of the central reservation, and apparently driving at speed?
One thing I've always wondered. Are the police allowed to speed along with no blue lights on? I've seen this quite a few times, and it doesn't seem particularly safe. Had one come flying up behind me tailgating me at night, didn't see who it was but I moved over once safe because the guy in front wouldn't get out the way & I hate people tailgating me. He then did the same to the guy in front who wouldn't move over and then quickly flashed the lights on for him to move and sped off once he did with no lights. I just thought it would have been a lot easier if he'd used the lights from the start and people could have seen him coming, especially at night.
Seems a good time to post this:
He will get a slapped wrist, doesn't matter that it was an emergency he would have done nothing when he got there if firearms were involved.
Why didn't you move over regardless of what car was behind you? From your 'flying up behind me' my guess is you were dawdling along![]()

I'm pretty - 'mirrors' - sure that what he is saying he is observing there - 'mirrors' - is what everybody should be doing when - 'mirrors' - driving?
The M4 is 2 lanes at this end, which means that the "middle lane" people become "outside lane" people and always hold everyone up regardless of how many people are behind them![]()

love getting past port talbot where it opens up to 3 lanes.... can finally over take all the slow peasants xD .....providing they actually do move over.
quite funny really as most just move to the middle lane and the left lane is empty. I always try to make the point of driving in the left lane and then doing a big swoop across the middle lane to the right hand lane and then back again when overtaking a middle lane junkie. I hope they see me and think "wow look at that jerk going all over the motorway" I then hope they realise that I had to do that giant arc around them because they are in the wrong lane xD but they rarely pull over![]()

The entire length of N. Anderson drive has a central reservation. There is only a few parts of it that have a central reservation.
That's just disgusting. One rule for them and another for us. Just because he was on a shout doesn't give him the right to put others at risk.
The court earlier heard that the officer had been taken off firearms duties and was no longer driving to emergency calls.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A report on the full circumstances will now be prepared by the professional standards department for the consideration of the designated deputy chief constable."
