Underrated/cult movies?

Something I was thinking about.

There are tons of great movies out there, for example I'm pretty locked in my all time favourite is Terminator 2. Pretty close Aliens, maybe Top Gun, but these are all huge Hollywood movies and all popular.

I'm wondering about that not so obvious ones. Now, doesn't have to be completely obscure either.

A good example of the type of movie, for me is Sunshine (2007).

I seen it 3 or 4 times over the years, the story is predictable, and not that much really happens, but each time I think what a great movie.

The Warriors (1979).

This would come close as my favourite film. Each time I watch it, I invariably return for a second helping the next day. I can't say that about any other film.

Yes it does go a bit nuts hah I picked up the 4k transfer earlier this year.

I watched that last week again, it’s excellent. Judgement Night (1993) is worth a look imo

I wouldn't say The Warriors is underrated, it's considered a classic. It even had its own video game https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Warriors_(video_game)

wes andersons fantastic mr fox is a masterpiece but only made 46.5 million at box office compared to some far worse movies that made several hundred million

Event Horizon is a solid choice

See, I don't actually rate the movie, but..... I understand how you could get into it, same as if someone said they didn't really get Sunshine, I could completely understand that.

Big Trouble in Little China surely needs to be in this thread.
