Seriously? I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't check the inside of my tyres unless I'm given a reason to - now I know he had a reason to, but it sounds like he didn't fully understood the matter. I'll usually just stick my finger in the outer groove and run it round until I find a wear indicator - I bet most people do the same.
At least he found the problem![]()
I check mine all the time. It's easy and a sensible thing to do.
On your bicycle, or do you do it for buses and taxis?![]()
My method works for me just fine, thanks![]()
just think how annoyed youd be at getting points on your licence for somethign as daft as tyres
Nah I knew they'd gotten low the last time I checked but then I didn't expect them to wear that quickly till I checked again.
Just like it worked for the OP? Or do you just simply like being ignorant?
So can any competent driver, however you typically won't feel that a single inch wide strip of a single tyre is below the legal limit.I'm fortunate enough to be able to feel when something is wrong with my car.
Its worked for nearly 7 years so far, just fine.

I thought you said you checked the tyres?
Unintentionally I guess, I had noticed they were low on the inside but they were no where close to being that bad so I kept on using them but it wasn't long until they ended up like this.[TW]Fox;16669113 said:They don't suddenly show cord overnight. You must have driven on them whilst dangerously low to end up with that!![]()
I just went the model up and got RE050AsWhat were the new tyres you got?
