Unemployed bussed in to steward jubilee, unpaid and asked to sleep rough

I think a good way to get people back into work (low paid jobs) would be to give a 1 year tax break up to 15k for those who've been LT unemployed for over a year. Then obviously dropping back to 747L or something.

Gives a good chance for people to get back on the horse and make the money go further.

...Or better yet, we try moving away from taxing corporations and tax people more instead, make it easier to get on the ladder obviously, make it easier for small businesses to exist as well.

On top of all this, make the taxes simple as can be, with very little need for extra public workers due to over complicated job titling by the last administration.

You cannot simply do one thing and expect it to be the solver of all problems, this countries entire tax system needs kicked in the face and rebooted, it costs too much with the mistakes people make, especially so if the mistake is actually by the government itself.

Of course its easier to say things like this, i guess, but still.

Quite... people from other countries will travel over here in search of work and will often find it. Lots of people in the UK wouldn't likely even consider moving 100 miles... to quote Norman Tebbit 'get on your bike'

What, move a family to another town, what about schooling? What sort of areas in the UK are booming with jobs that a family can up sticks and just waltz into a town?

Most of the immigrants that come over and young and child free, soon get a get pregnant when they have been here for a few years, free health care and school places for their now "British" child

Record numbers of immigrant are leaving the country from what I've been told.

Makes me laugh how ignorant people are tbh, I guess they have never worked in another country because the money was good. Where it makes sense to share digs etc so you have even more money to take home.

People from other countries often don't have families to uproot, a lot of the ones in blackpool are very young and haven't settled down.

They aren't unpaid, they are being paid every week by the working population to do nothing. asking them to do the odd days work to keep this up doesn't seem unreasonable.

That would only cover what? 9 hours of work? How many are they being forced to 'volunteer' to do?

Easy if you have no ties or responsibilities.

What if you have a wife and kid(s), do you all move into a hostel just to please your ridiculous suggestions?

Then it becomes a bit harder.... given that young single people don't seem to be particularly motivated to do it though it would certainly require some encouragement/incentives to get families to do so.

Hand on heart, would you be happy if you were unemployed and had to do this?

yes, I don't believe in freeloading, so in the rare circumstances where I could find absolutely no work whatsoever, I would be happy to work for my benefits.

Living under a bridge though? in what is pretty unappealing weather?

Asking too much.

its not the work its the conditions of work. Important distinction.

Poor show how they are treated not unsurprising though.....

Sorry but i really find that hard to believe. How are you "freeloading" you could have paid into the system for years?
