Unexpected Week Off

My exams finished yesterday - and I didn't realise I now have a week off. I want to do something worthwhile, so fancy a trip somewhere. Bit of a loose question - but does anybody have any suggestions? Anybody else done something like this i.e. on a whim?
 
I'm from Kent so I've been to London more times I can count :)

I don't really have a fixed budget - but nothing silly of course! I wouldn't mind a few days away rather than a day trip.

I'm up for anything really, though I'm not really into beach holidays as I'm brown, and erm, get bored lying on the sand.

Thinking possibly Portugal (Europe's probably freezing atm) or Morocco though not sure where to visit in those countries..
 
I did this about this time last year - got a text on Monday from a friend in Finland saying he was heading to Amsterdam, booked a flight and went off on the Thursdam, awesome time :D

Had a couple of weeks in Morocco last summer, there's loads to do - even if you just found a cheap flight to Marrakech and stayed there, you could spend a couple of days no problem. Alternatively...well, in this situation I'd just be looking at last minute flights or budget operators, and just see where's cheap to get to that I haven't been before :)
 
I'm off to Spain in a week, just south of Barcelona. Weather there is good at the moment. (Well, better than here!)
 
Hmm...trouble is I really want to go somewhere new, and I can't go for that long so I don't really wanna leave Europe. The trouble is, I've done most parts - or the parts I haven't done it's far too cold atm :(

Do you go to University of Liverpool?

I'm doing Accounting there (2nd year) and finished on friday too. Semester two doesn't start till 21st Jan :D

What exams were you doing? I just ask because I seem to remember you (I think it was you, anyway!) were doing a medical degree and then stopped. Have you rejoined it or did you start doing something else? :)

Barcelona is a great place to go, especially if you could bring the girlfriend or a couple of mates.
