Uni Question

Talk to someone at your school/college about it, theyre the best people to advise on this kind of thing I think...

Are you sure it's not modular or you're reading it wrong?

I recall my A-Levels I got marked for each exam, ie. 3 exams and I got a grade for each one, but this made up my final grade. It's just one overall grade. I can't understand how one subject (ICT) can be worth 4 individual GCSEs. Even Science only comes as a double, I doubt they do quadruple awards?

Sounds to me like you did a GNVQ "Which is equivilent to FOUR GCSEs"

I hate it how they push that on kids, it's not as good as four GCSEs and never will be.

Ask your ICT teacher(s). He/She/It/They should know, if he/she/it/they doesnt know them im amazed you got a C.

Even if its GNVQ IT, wouldnt it only be the equivalent of 2 GCSE's? If I remember right.....science was the only GNVQ worth 4, unless its been changed in the last few years.

I did ICT at GCSE. It's a single GCSE, meaning if by what you said in the OP was true, then you got 1 GCSE at grade C. The other marks would be for the coursework and the 2 exam papers you sit. The last one is the average grade, or 'final' grade.

No actually, I got bored so I went and checked. Not a SINGLE examining body in BRITAIN gives 4 grades along with the equivalant of 4 GCSEs in I.T. Not a single one. What board did you do it with? Go link me the qualification, or even just their homepage, and I will go show you that you are misguided. If you prove me wrong then that's fair enough, but I have just checked through everyone I know exists, and several I didn't know existed
