Uni Results

Ours got posted up a week early at uni!! Didnt expect them to be out till next week, so bit of a shock!

Got a 2:2 for a BSc (hons) in physiotherapy!!

So chuffed, worked damn hard for it and had a tough placement this year (ask mk1_salami lol) which makes it worth even more to me!!

Good luck to everyone else :D

1:1
2:1
2:2
3:3
pass

Basically above a 3:3 is good (I'd say anyway though I'm sure many will say they'll jump off a cliff with less than a 2:1).

In my 2nd year atm, only had 2 papers this summer with all other assignments averaging around 85% so hoping for a 1:1

hmm....still don't get it.

I go to Oxford Brookes Uni and they just give us a percentage
0-39% = fail
40-49 = 3:3
50-59 = 2:2
60-69 = 2:1
70 + = 1:1

I'm on for a Desmond (22 hehe...) and I'm happy!! Don't really care about uni tbh as for me it's a means to and end with getting a job... some ppl in my class are losers and basically live in the Library getting a first which is very hard on my course - no way is that me though. I preferred lying in watching Jeremy Kyle, fry ups and Neighbours twice a day while doing LOTS of social things like sports and clubs and going out.... It's been a great 4 years and I'm glad I didn't waste it being a total geek...

I figured it's not difficult getting a job in my profession so it doesn't matter what degree class you get above a third... I'll still get a job (got 1 interview coming up in 2 weeks)....

Congrats to everyone else finished uni WOOHOOO!

Expecting results at the end of the month. Am expecting a high 2.i average in my second year. However, the best 4 modules count towards our degree classifcation. My best 4 average is a First. :)

I agree dude although it depends what you want a do... for pHd stuff you want the best grade possible.... for a Masters a 2:1 or better ideally (22 still ok) and for a job 2:2 or better...

TBH the University name and rep matters more than degree class as most employers will see the name and think ... ooo that's a good uni, etc..

Damn if only our course worked like that lol!

Mine come out in a couple of weeks. Hoping for a 2:1, but I messed up a couple of exams this year so I might dip down to a 2:2. Will be disappointed if so, but not the end of the world.

And that thing about only your good marks counting..

Im waiting for my 1st year results, just had my final exam last thursday, should have done fine with any luck. Glad its out of the way really, was starting to get fed up of revision. So nice to have the summer off :)

It's still slightly difficult getting a geology job even if graduates are in short supply. ;) Although it is reassuring to know we really are that desperately needed (1st year Geol). :p

I thought my results came out in August but maybe it is June. Hope so, that means I can organise other things. :D

I've still got two exams to do! I finish this Friday, and get my results in July so I'm told. Hoping for a 2.1! Fingers crossed.

Good luck everyone.

im retaking my 1st year, last year was easy so i dossed and failed.

this year i worked hard and yet at the last minute everything just ****** up.

for example, maths exam, i take calc in, one on the list of calcs on the uni website, they take it off me cos it doesnt have a pink stripe on it, wth ? wouldnt lend me one so everytime i had to do equations id just have to show my working and put a ? at the end.

so ive failed that.

39.9 in java, need 40 to pass.....they rounded it down then knocked marks off for wrong questions :(

things like this

so im gonna have to retake for my 3rd time with no student loan, great.
