if you retake for the third time you dont get student loan untill you get to the 2nd year :(

Are you not questioning a lot of things if you have failed the first year of a 3 year course, twice?

How are you going to get through the second and third years?

Maybe you've chosen the wrong subject...

Finished today, think I get mine on the 14th as well, which is the day I get back from holiday. Hoping for a 1st (need 64% this term), but the exams this term didn't go too well so will probably get a 2:1 I think - not too bothered really :)

Good luck everyone.
Well, I got a first. Averaged 71.8% this term so 74.7% in my 2nd year and 71.1 in my 3rd :) Very happy, was definitely expecting a 2:1.

Hope everyone else is pleased with their results.

Wooooo!

I got 68% for my dissertation!

Now just awaiting one more unit grade then i know my overall degree classification!

It's teetering on the edge of being a 1st at the mo, just depends what i get for it!

I'm only at College, but I took about 4-5 weeks off a while back and ended up missing submission dates etc for certain projects, now I've fell so far behind it's pretty terrible. I finished last Friday, so now I'm totally paniking, I'm not sure what'll happen, I'm not doing the whole year again! But at the same time I think the qualification will help in the long run :(

Wow, everyone on here is 1st/2:1 material. Well done you guys. :)

Myself, well I received 53% in my second year and i'm around 47% this year, so it's a 2:2 or 3rd for me. :o

As i'm moving to Hong Kong in September, i'm hoping most of the IT companies over there aren't too fussed about your degree classification.

The degree was in Business Info System and was fairly straightforward, so I have no excuses. :D

Got my results got a 2.2, not to bothered though as it is good enough for my graduate job that I have at HSBC starting in September. :D

Mate, if you do badly just swallow your pride and retake the year. I retook year 13 to get into a decent university and as you can see above I managed to get a first. Retaking my A levels instilled a really good work ethic in me which helped so much at university. Good luck.

At university 80% is a lot. You would have to be pretty exceptional to get that high a score.
I got 100% on one of my 3rd year Computer Science modules which pushed my average up nicely :D

What are you doing in HK? moving there on you're own, or with family etc?

Well I've found my science degree rock hard as science ones generally are. So got me year 2 results, got a 3rd for those, and then did my dissertation. Unfort my diss supervisor f-in blindin F'd up and I ruined my diss, getting a pass for it, (at least it wasnt a fail I suppose)

So bringing that to recent times, I was down hearted as only a pass for my diss, and its worth a good 30% of the whole thing, so I thought id slog my brains out in the hope that my exams would pull my marks up abit, and if ya new the averages I needed for each exam it was like looking at a vertical wall and wondering how to walk up it

Anyways I got stuck in feelin abit low and just went all out, hoping id pass my degree (Ocean Science BSc [hons])

Got my results today, (I was DEAD SET on it being a pass due to diss) or possibly a fail, but GOT ME A 3RD !! , I know tis only a 3rd but for a science degree its pretty good and I'm well chuffed and bouncing off the walls ! YAYNESS !

Thanks dude, I'll keep that in mind. :) I kinda lost interest in the course, but want the grade and feel that it'll help me when applying for Uni in 2008.

Got ma 2.2 as expected for my MEng :D:D:D

Got 58% average with an average in this semester of about 68%. They didn't think my extenuating circumstances warranted enough scope to get me a viva or to push me up. Stupid muppets.

To put it in a bit more context, I got CDE in Physics, Chemistry and Maths first time around, then got BBB when I'd retaken just 1 year (I had Cs from AS level). My degree is in physics with theoretical astrophysics at Nottingham University, so pretty solid course and good uni, but like I said - it's all about work ethic :)

BSc Computer Science Hon

Opted out of project this year for various reasons.

Managed to pull of a A1, A2, A3 with my uni judging an A to be 75% or more.

Getting my results on 22nd June. Only got 57% in second year but managed to get 72 for my placement which counts as a module i think and ive done better this final year and got all above 60 apart from one 55.

I should have a safe 2:1 i think

My fiancee's results came through today - 2:1 BA in Theology for her :)

I'm hoping for a 2:1 (Natural Science), but it may well be close to the line. I dont find out until the 21st though :(

Get mine on 29th June, first year Physics at Exeter. Most likely looking at a 2:1, slacked off a bit in the second semester. First year doesn't count, so I'm chalking it up to experience and getting my arse into gear for part deux. A 2:1 at the end of the course will get me where I want to be, but a first isn't out of the question.

Where are you going from here, SaBBz?
