Uni with 220 ucas points?

yes they should i got onto a 240 course with 200 points ;) but thats just me, I do know some one who got onto a course which he was originally turned down to regardless of grades phoned them up they said ok coime in we can talk popped in blagged his way though the questions and boom hes on his course just ask dude ;)

This year was difficult to get in to uni due to the record numbers of people applying. I would think the same will apply to next year as well. Contacting them directly is the only way you will find out.

Ring up, they will probabily accept you.

I've only got 180 UCAS points, but got on to do Chemistry at Bangor when I applied normally first time around.

Last year when I was apply through Clearing, I rang up a few places, Derby, Kent, Manchester, Chester, Bristol, Aber and they all said they would except for onto the courses that I was interested in at the time.

Just ring up and see what they say.

i once got onto a course because of my grades in drumming, i didnt have the minimum recommend grades either, but when i told them i had skills in an area, they took me onboard no problem!

they dont always have to stick to it geez.

Go to Trent if you can - just RING them. I went to uni there for 4 years and its completely awesome.

Best years of my life - graduated in 2008. Do all you can to get in there.

I must say I have no idea how to work mine out even while using that list.... So many different awarding bodies.

I never did A levels. I went onto college.

My Diploma was Merit.... I was just short of distinction :(

I take it GCSE's dont count for anything now a days ?

Oh and Key skills level 2 in Core and Wider Skills

Interesting, didn't know that DMM gave you 240 points. (BTEC ND) Will have no problems getting that grade.

Trying to push for DDD though which puts me at 320.

GCSE's dont count for anything in terms of UCAS points nope, do actual Degress contribute towards UCAS Score?

To the OP: if you talking about A2 grades there, and you started your A-levels in September 2007, you have a problem with resits.

Due to the course specification changes, the only modules you can resit will be A2 ones, and you can only resit them in January 2010, after that, you will not be able to resit any of your exams from the 'old' specifications. There are one or two subjects exempt from this, such as AQA IT.

In other words, work your balls off for January resits, or decide to start A-levels again, which will be on the new specifications.
