Uni work AI checker

Daughter is at first year uni and said she is uploading her essays to AI checkers. I've told her not to add she had no idea where her paper is going ie getting sold on etc!

She says she is using grammarly I've read on here some recommending it - is it safe to use?

I’ve used grammarly pro:
* use it to check grammar
* don’t use it to AI write (but sometimes take a copy of the doc and see what chatgpt, claude or grammarly AI comes up with - it can give some thoughts that I may manually research & incorporate).
* before submission I use grammarly’s AI and plagiarism checker.

Not had a problem with any of my Oxford Saïd Business School Artificial Intelligence assignments or course forum submissions. Other students have been called out/penalised for using AI (even using AI for reducing word count).

Just to be clear - some assignments got to draft 5. It takes me time, and I have to ask myself “have I actually answered the question? Or as approximately as the rubric is asking”. AI can’t simply answer the question nine times out of ten.
