Uniengine 2.0

We should be forward thinking, Fermi is only a few days away (hopefully) so tessellation and DX11 should be standard, what about 16xAF and no AA 1920x1080? Or 1680x1050?

With the rest maxed ofc. :)

Heres a run with everything maxed out, 8x AA, 16x AF:

I did two runs and my max GFX temp was 81 degrees, which is good for 1000 Mhz on air with complete silence =D

WoW, that is some clock you have on the memory.

Yup, I got magic hynix chips =D

They might even go higher if the upper limit could be unlocked, but I dont want to burn them, 5800 Mhz is plenty, and no artifacts at all untill I increase the GPU to 1025 Mhz, and they dont even get too hot (I touched the ramsinks after long use and they are cooler to the touch than most other stuff is).

I would need water cooling to go higher on the GPU without any artifacts.

And they run a lot cooler than my 4870s used to at stock speeds :)

My 1300 Mhz ram score is a bit lower than 1445:

So is error checking kicking in?

It could be that the re-transmission is only occuring a few times, at any clock speed, so by whacking the mem clock way up you could be compensating for this - hence 1350 being slower than 1300, but 1445 being faster again. Bear in mind these chips are rated for 1250MHz (I believe) so they're not straining so much.

But I'm not an expert, so I'll stop before I'm accused of waffling. :p

I tried 3 runs at 1300, 1375, and 1445 Mhz memory, the score increased each time:

It would seem that if there is any error correction going on, the increased speed is still improving performance.

The error checking only affects errors in the memory bus, if the chips themselves get any errors then you would still get crashes and instability, so I believe the ram is fine at those speeds.

outside of benchmarks, no. I have 1000/1300 and 1000/1445 profiles saved, I've just started clicking on the later more frequently.

The only game I'm playing that I need to run them OC'ed for is Oblivion. For anythng else I leave them at default boot speeds.

I tried benching with the tessellation slider controls on different settings & it has a big effect especially on minimum framerate (with not much visual difference at all).....I wonder if Nvidia had this kind of option on their 1.1 version which helped them appear better in tessellation? would be a sly trick

How can one get the slider to go past 1300 in afterburner?
